Welcome to TangoMovement

Welcome to tango movement - the leaders in argentine tango london

argentine tango classes to inspire and encourage the dancer you’re meant to be

We offer a complete programme of tango classes in Central London.

All lessons are led by David & Kim Benitez, whose elegance, precision and approachability has made them London's most popular tango teachers. Over the years, thousands of students have walked through our doors and we currently have over 300 dedicated students.

On week nights, we have drop-in tango classes for all levels from absolute beginners to advanced dancers. And on the weekend, we offer fast-track Beginners Courses, as well as Workshops for more experienced students.

We also offer private tango classes for those who prefer extra focus and attention.

We have won the title of Latin UK Tango Teachers of the Year and are hugely proud to celebrate 2017 as our 10th anniversary in London!

Meet us and get a feel for our classes in our Class Video.

All our Argentine tango classes take place in high quality dance studios, ideally situated in central London locations.

We are also highly experienced performers - we have twice been voted LUKAS Tango Performers of Year and have performed with Torvill & Dean on ITV and Royal Ballet stars. We provide premium Argentine tango shows for corporate events, functions, TV, film and theatre.

At Tango Movement we form a strong relationship with every student. Our tango classes have created a community of people who feel part of our tango "family" and have formed lasting friendships. View photos and videos of our students in class, at our annual ball and in our student shows.

We hope you'll enjoy browsing our site. And please come and visit us soon - you'll find a very warm welcome!

“THE MOST WONDERFUL COMPREHENSIVE TANGO CLASSES. DAVID & KIM'S WARMTH, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERTISE ARE UNPARALLELED IN LONDON. YOU NEED LOOK NO FURTHER IF YOU WANT TO START YOUR TANGO JOURNEY, WITH TEACHERS THAT NURTURE YOU THROUGH EACH STAGE. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND TANGO MOVEMENT. KIM AND DAVID TICK EVERY BOX.” Paul MacFarlane (Student)

Tango in Our Kitchen

In the current crisis, our everyday routines have been turned on their heads.

But you can keep up your tango skills - with or without a partner - in the smallest of spaces and incorporate it in your daily tasks. As you wait for the kettle to boil, microwave to ping or toast to pop.

David and I have had fun with a tiny video project showing us practicing and improvising in our kitchen.

Restricted space? That's no issue. Meandering cats who don't understand the rules of tango floor craft ... well, that's more of a problem ...

THE LIVE MUSIC EVENT OF 2019

Display date: 2019-01-16

We can’t get enough of them at the moment. We have their music on a loop in our classes and we can’t stop watching their videos.

But nothing is like dancing to them live. We stumbled across them playing at a milonga in Buenos Aires last summer … and it was electric.

So when the opportunity arose to bring La Orquesta Romantica Milonguera over to London, we leapt at the chance.
