Cancellation Policy

 

When you book a class we hold a place especially for you. Whilst we understand that plans can change, if you cancel we will need time to offer your place to someone else. For this reason, no refunds can be offered for cancellations made within 24 hours of your class or if you don’t attend. We hope you understand!

As a kid, nothing felt more magical than a fairground carousel. I always made a beeline for the pink pony! Years later I discovered a different carousel – somehow even more magical – in the tango embrace.

This course is designed for both leaders and followers who want to master calesita technique and explore creative ideas.

We’ll take a spin through different types of “calesita” and creative ways to play with them.

Leaders will learn:

  • how to maintain their partner’s axis
  • how to walk with comfort and poise
  • how to introduce variations in direction, tempo and embrace

Followers will learn:

  • how to maintain their axis
  • how to respond to subtle cues
  • how add creative and musical embellishments

And for the record: the pink pony is mine!

Suitable for Improvers upwards – this course is ideal for dancers who are already comfortable with tango fundamentals and want to add depth, style and power to their dancing.

No partner needed – we’ll rotate partners throughout (but if you come with a partner and would prefer to stay together this is also OK!)

 

Location

This class takes place in a spacious dance studio in the heart of Soho, with smooth wooden floors, wall-to-ceiling mirrors and ballet barres.

You’ll be spoilt for choice with bars, shops and restaurants either before or after class.
